This year's anual daffodil shoot. Earlier than usual, the weather of late March more like May. Then on to York's newest attraction and some more traditional fixtures.
Perfect Autumn sunshine drew me out for another foray into York on a busy Saturday afternoon. The light seemed to bring out some of the detail often lost in the streets.
The weather this week has been like it should have been in the middle of Summer. Desperate not to waste the sunshine I set out for a cycle/walk down the Ouse to Bishopthorpe. The result was some archetypical views of an English country landscape.
A short cycle ride along the Ouse to welcome the Autumn. Summer has been largely absent from England this year so it was nice to have weather that was at least seasonable.
On the last day of July I took the Little Red Bicycle for a spin up York's version of the Amazon. There were monsters, strange dark paths and endless deserted grasslands.
A short tour round some of the byways of York that have become gently neglected in recent times and a brief return to see the Minster in a different light.
These photos were all collected on a random walk through York in the space of an hour. Just an example of the oddities that can be picked up if you just keep your eyes open.
