York Autumn Details 12th November 2011

Headless Legless & Probably Harmless

Perfect Autumn sunshine drew me out for another foray into York on a busy Saturday afternoon. The light seemed to bring out some of the detail often lost in the streets.

York 25th October 2011

Autumn Leaves Black Water

A miscelany of shots from a walk in town and a veiw from the kitchen window on yet another misplaced brilliant Autumn day.

NRM 29th September 2011

Operation Smash Hit Souvenir

My first visit to the newly refurbished National Railway Museum. More exhibits, still too little light.

Fulford Reach 28th September 2011

River View Bishopthorpe Palace

The weather this week has been like it should have been in the middle of Summer. Desperate not to waste the sunshine I set out for a cycle/walk down the Ouse to Bishopthorpe. The result was some archetypical views of an English country landscape.

Autumn Water Finally Appropriate Weather

Autumn Goose Flight

A short cycle ride along the Ouse to welcome the Autumn. Summer has been largely absent from England this year so it was nice to have weather that was at least seasonable.

Sparrows 20th August 2011

Sparrows 20110820 08

Another ten minutes on the feeder.

Long Train on the Racetrack

66849 Wylam Dilly close

A cycle ride to Overton Bridge the starting point of "The Racetrack" the longest straight on the British rail network where new locos are speed tested. Nothing so exciting today just the traffic of a Summer's afternoon.

Planet Caravan

Uranus

On the one really hot day in recent weeks I took a ride through the recently refurbished Solar System. The Sun was always far away and sure enough the nebulae thickened as the afternoon progressed and thunder rolled across the galaxy.
