Retrofitted
York's new council offices are being built on the site of the old Queen Street Station. The demolition has revealed that the Victorian brick shell hides layers of mid-20th century architectural heritage. The city has not seen any industrial decay since they pulled down the glass factory so it attracts photographers such as me like wasps to a jam jar.

York is not always the most attractive place in England despite it's tourist fame. Every April however it is transformed.
